In this research blog, we will be discussing who Pastor Isaac Noriega is, as well as the organizational structure of his church team.
Pastor Isaac Noriega founded the church Tabernaculo Emanuel in Tucson, Arizona in 1973. As the church grew and expanded, he changed its name to Golden Dawn Tabernacle, while still retaining the Tabernaculo Emanuel name for legal and financial purposes.
Isaac was born on August 28, 1942 with the birth name of Ismael Noriega. He later legally changed his name to Isaac Noriega, due to the perceived negative connotations associated with the biblical name of Ismael. He was raised in an Apostolic upbringing, as his father Clemente Noriega, was the Pastor of the Apostolic Church of Christ. As a result, Isaac's teachings are heavily influenced by Apostolic doctrine, rules and traditions.
Isaac (Ismael) was heavily into sports as a young man, and played football and basketball and was quite skilled at it, despite his 5 foot 4 inch height (see attached picture and article from The Selma Enterprise). The irony is that Isaac currently forbids the church youth from playing any type of sport as he believes that is a "worldly" activity. See our Church Rules blog post for reference.
Isaac Noriega was married to Lucy Noriega, who passed away in July 2020. They had five children: Grace (deceased), Stephen Daniel, Lucinda Clementina, Matthew Jonah, and Staceey Tiffany. Lucinda is married to Isaac Jacques, Matthew Jonah is married to Sharon Silva, and Stacey is married to Joseph Torres, an organ player and deacon at the church.
In recent years, Isaac Noriega has added his son Matthew Jonah Noriega as the "Associate Pastor" on all legal documents, which is believed to be a precursor to transferring control of the church's assets to Matthew upon Isaac's passing.
Golden Dawn Tabernacle is part of the "The Message" movement, which follows the teachings of William Branham. However, Isaac Noriega has added his own unique teachings to the mix, resulting in stricter rules and practices within the church. In this research blog, we will delve further into the history and operations of the Golden Dawn Tabernacle, including its tax exempt status, real estate holdings, and the control of church assets by Isaac Noriega and the board of trustees. You forgot to mention that Isaac Noriega is a narcissistic dictator, who gaslights his congregation and uses scripture to fit his narrative to control the poor people of Golden Dawn. I remember he once told the Congregation that since he is the founder of the church that they have no right to vote him out. Seems domineering to me. Is that scriptural? I recall in the Bible God chose Saul to be the first( founding) king of Israel, but Saul rejected God and God brought up David.
Look at what the Bible says about domineering pastors.
