"Crusaders" Label, Organizational Chart Updates and Engagement Ritual Video

Over the past few weeks/months, we have received content and updates regarding the Golden Dawn Tabernacle from both current and former members. Some of these updates overlap with information previously mentioned or discussed in an earlier article. Initially, we contemplated revisiting and updating those older posts. However, we realized that most readers tend to focus solely on the latest posts, so we will provide a comprehensive update here.

In this particular article, we aim to share a few significant GDT related updates that are connected to some of the older posts. Our intention is to gradually update the relevant information on each respective page over time. Nevertheless, these specific updates demand closer examination and deserve special attention.

Current State & "Crusaders" Label

As of late, Pastor Isaac Noriega seems to have amplified his efforts to instill fear and guilt among his congregation. He frequently uses phrases like "we are under attack" and "the squeeze", aiming to instigate fear, paranoia, and mistrust within his flock. He specifically targets the group of ex-GDT members who have left, labeling them as "Crusaders" who, he alleges, are persecuting the church. He even claims to have compiled a list of all these "Crusaders", though we highly doubt he truly comprehends the extent of this list, considering the substantial number of individuals involved in researching, scrutinizing, documenting, and unveiling the questionable practices perpetuated by Isaac Noriega and the GDT Leadership team. The stark reality is that Isaac Noriega resents it when his questionable leadership tactics are exposed for all to witness. We emphatically challenge Isaac Noriega to approach us with any factual corrections to the research we have published, and we will wholeheartedly make those corrections publicly.

However, in light of this recent accusation, we decided to have a little fun and embrace Isaac Noriega's label with the Crusader meme below.

In conjunction with this heightened pressure, Isaac has also started to insist on mandatory altar calls after every service. Some members have reported that they approach the altar merely to hasten the process, and some children are quick to be among the first to step forward, presumably to earn spiritual favor in school. As highlighted before, these altar calls are fueled by fear-inducing, apocalyptic sermons and are far from uplifting. Moreover, Isaac has recently started singling out certain youth whom he believes should be at the altar because they "need it" and are "sinful," "worldly" and "unrepentant". This approach is common in high control cults, where Isaac is attempting to tear down the self worth of the individuals of the church so that they feel they are nothing without him or the ministry.

Immediately after we published our previous organizational chart article about the church leadership, there was a notable reshuffling and significant expansion of the leadership. We would like to emphasize that no elections took place. As Isaac frequently reminds the congregation, they operate under a theocracy because, as he puts it, democracy is "a ship with all sails and no anchor." And, of course, as God's personal representative, he believes he is perfectly positioned to expand the church leadership as he best sees fit.

The recent noteworthy organization updates are that some previous trustees were reinstated, and a few younger members who were runners-up in previous considerations were added to the trustee board.

As for the situation mentioned in our previous post, it seems one of the two deacons who were under disciplinary status has been fully reinstated and has been observed patrolling the parking lot regularly. It appears the accusations of fathering an illegitimate child were either disproven or completely ignored. The other deacon, however, has not been restored and has been seen sitting in his designated seat rather than performing his deacon duties but there has been no mention if his status as a deacon has changed, which might be because he is a distant relative to Isaac Noriega (a nepotism topic we will cover in a future article).

In our opinion, the new additions to the trustee board seem to be strategic and politically motivated. For instance, one of the new trustees Jared Samaniego is the son of the treasurer Samuel Mike Samaniego, and another new addition Christopher Gutierrez appears to have been included because of his father Robbie Gutierrez's position within the trustee board.

We ask our readers to consider the following: why would a church, which has ceased to expand and continues to lose members, require 12 trustees, 9 deacons, and 9 elders? Is it because the GDT "ship" is taking on water and more hands are needed to "plug the leaks"? Is it because the "anchor" is too heavy? Is it an attempt to exert further control over the remaining members through binding positions of responsibility?

Engagement Ritual Videos

The following update might stir some controversy, but we believe it's essential to explain our rationale behind its publication. We received several videos and photos of a couple's engagement within GDT from an anonymous source. Initially, we hesitated to share these due to concerns about unintentionally compromising the individual who recorded them. However, we received we some feedback on our articles about courting, engagement, weddings and marriages, suggesting that we were being overly dramatic or exaggerating the ritualistic and loveless nature of engagements and courtships due to Isaac's stringent rules.

Therefore, we believe it is in the public's interest to release these videos to provide further evidence of the ritualistic and seemingly loveless nature that these engagements and marriages are formed under. We share this video with the intent of bringing this scenario into the open, as the majority may never experience it – either they're already married, or they will never take part in a GDT marriage ceremony. Isaac Noriega invariably interjects himself into every aspect of the courtship, acting as a go-between for the couple and their families. The videos below undeniably demonstrate the extent of Isaac's control and the pervasive fear of his presence - to the point that the family secretly video recorded what should be a joyful life milestone so that Isaac would not know about it out of fear of retribution. We have taken precautions to anonymize the identities of everyone involved, excluding Isaac Noriega, by blurring their faces.

Under normal circumstances, an engagement is a happy, joyful occasion, often photographed and celebrated openly. Yet in this case, the scenario is far from ordinary. It is somber, fearful, and tragically sad. This example speaks volumes about the oppressive environment under Isaac Noriega's rule. Despite these circumstances, we truly hope these engagements and marriages are happy and filled with love but we recognize that it is very hard to find true love this way.

To set the stage, below is a picture of the couple that is about to be "engaged" by Isaac Noriega. Notice the somber expression on Isaac's face. It is important to note that Isaac sets the mood whenever he comes over as a guest to a home of a church member. Based on this picture, it is easy to conclude that there is no love, joy or laughter at what should be a celebratory event. The videos below will further solidify this conclusion.

Below is the video of the family hosting the engagement ritual discussing whether to record the event or not. It is clear they are fearful of recording Isaac Noriega, and decide to do it secretly.

Below is the video of the actual engagement ritual by Pastor Isaac Noriega. Getting down on knee and popping the question is no longer permitted as all proposals and marriages must be approved, controlled and coordinated by Isaac and his strange rituals.

What's profoundly ironic about Isaac's speech in this video, apart from the unsettling ritual, is the countless instances in the past where he has not upheld the father's "consent" that he so passionately claims to endorse in this video. He declares his love for the word because, according to him, it ensures consistency and prevents people from haphazardly adhering to the rules. Yet, every congregant can attest to the occurrence where a certain young church deacon was married to a girl in her father's absence under Isaac's direction. They can testify to instances where he has compelled marriages to take place even when the parents were unaware or outrightly opposed. So, it seems that the consistency Isaac praises in the above video might not be as unwavering as he claims.

Conclusion

We firmly believe that this kind of controlling and domineering behavior depicted and discussed in this article will continue to erode trust and respect for the church's leadership, particularly for Isaac Noriega and his leadership team. In fact, we recently received feedback from a senior member of the church who admitted that the older generation might have held respect for the GDT ministry in the past, despite the questionable practices, due to their belief that Isaac Noriega was a true spokesperson for God. However, they now acknowledge that the younger generation has completely lost faith in the ministry, having been exposed to a great deal of hypocrisy and corruption, and they have come to understand that it is impossible for this ministry to genuinely represent God's word. This is like the young child in the tale who boldly points out that the emperor is not wearing any clothes. Isaac Noriega holds no real power if the congregation chooses to take it from him. Currently, fear, control, withheld information, and obligation are the primary reasons why young people remain in the church. Our mission is to empower those feeling trapped, enabling them to regain control over their lives and experience genuine freedom in Christ, rather than living under the oppressive rule of a man who is no more than a naked emperor.

Seeing this engagement video, all I can say is: they had it nice being related to him. When me and my wife got engaged Isaac was so upset and angry because I was having communication with my wife-to-be. (I was ratted on by a very close relative of mine) Isaac claimed he “forgot his Bible” it was so uncomfortable, tense, and nerve-wrecking everyone is always on edge at these events. Plus he was mad because he had wanted me for someone else. Not the girl I had fallen in LOVE with.Thank you for the videos to The family in the videos that their whole purpose is to completely please this man issac. But let me warn you as of today. Congregants at future engagements will not be allowed any more cameras. Mark my words.

The saddest part of this article. Is that yes it shows the ugliness within the cult. But this will have horrible repercussions on the family in the video. And in further events. All cameras will be banned. For sure. And the people will be left with no memories of their engagements, weddings, dinners etc. Isaac has been wanting to ban cameras for a very long time. This is just gonna give him the motivation to do so. He has been wanting to not have weddings anymore either. Just marry the couple in the office and that’s it.
